John McGraw jumped to the Giants in 1902. McGraw had been the manager of the Baltimore Orioles, but he was lured to the Giants by a higher salary. The Giants were a struggling team at the time, but McGraw quickly turned them around and led them to a World Series title in 1905. McGraw would go on to manage the Giants for 30 years, winning eight World Series titles.
