Steve Staunton is a retired footballer and currently works as a scout for the Republic of Ireland national football team. He played as a defender for a number of clubs in England, including Coventry City, Aston Villa and Liverpool. He also made over 50 appearances for the Republic of Ireland national team, and captained the side at the 2002 World Cup.
