Hans-Joachim Stuck was born on 1 January 1951 in Schwandorf, West Germany. He is a retired racing driver who competed in Formula One between 1977 and 1987. He won six Grands Prix and finished runner-up in the 1982 Drivers' Championship. Stuck also competed in the World Sportscar Championship, winning the 1985 24 Hours of Le Mans. He is the father of racing driver Ferdinand Stuck.
