Who succeeded Matt Busby as the manager of Manchester United in 1969?

  • Bill Foulkes

  • Wilf McGuinness

  • George Best

  • Bobby Charlton

Answer

Wilf McGuinness succeeded Matt Busby as manager of Manchester United in 1969. McGuinness was a former player for United, and had been assistant manager to Busby since 1963. He was given the job of manager after Busby retired due to ill health. McGuinness's tenure as manager was not a success, and he was sacked in 1970.
