Answer
Maurice Yaméogo was rehabilitated under the presidency of Blaise Compaoré. This was a controversial move, as Yaméogo had been overthrown in a coup d'état and imprisoned for many years. However, Compaoré argued that it was important to reconcile the country and move on from the past. Yaméogo was welcomed back into society and died in 1993.
