Mette Frederiksen is a Danish politician serving as the Prime Minister of Denmark since 27 June 2019. A member of the Social Democratic Party (Socialdemokratiet), she is the first female prime minister of Denmark and the youngest person to hold the office since the 1849 Constitution. In December 2021, Frederiksen became the longest-serving incumbent female head of government in the European Union.
