The Colegio de San Nicolás Obispo was a Jesuit college located in Valladolid, Michoacán, New Spain. It was founded in 1540 and was one of the most important educational institutions in the colony. Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, who later became the leader of the Mexican War of Independence, taught at the Colegio de San Nicolás Obispo from 1776 to 1781.
