Munir Ahmad Khan (1926-2011) was the "father of the atomic bomb program" of Pakistan. He served as Chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission from 1972 to 1991, and played a key role in the development of Pakistan's nuclear weapons program. He was also a nuclear physicist and a professor at the University of Karachi.
