Muzio Clementi was an Italian-born pianist, composer and teacher. He was born in Rome, Italy in 1752. Clementi was a child prodigy and began composing at a young age. He studied music with Giovanni Battista Martini in Bologna and later with Domenico Scarlatti in Naples. In 1766, Clementi moved to London, where he remained for the rest of his life.
