Nat King Cole was born on March 17, 1919. He was an American singer, pianist, and jazz musician. Cole is widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists in popular music history and was also an accomplished jazz pianist. He was the first African-American to host a television variety show, The Nat King Cole Show.
