Jamal ad-Dīn Abū Muḥammad Ilyās ibn-Yūsuf ibn-Zakkī, also known as Nizami Ganjavi, was a Persian poet who is best known for his five masnavis, which are among the most celebrated classics of Persian literature. He is considered one of the greatest poets of the Golden Age of Persian literature and is often referred to as the "greatest of Persian poets".
