Otto Frank was born on 12 May 1889 and died on 19 August 1980, aged 79. He was a German-born Dutch businessman and father of Anne Frank. After the German invasion of the Netherlands in World War II, Otto Frank and his family went into hiding in the Secret Annexe in Amsterdam, where Anne kept a diary of her experiences.
