Otto Rank lived for 55 years. He was born in 1884 and died in 1939. He was an Austrian psychoanalyst and a student of Sigmund Freud. He was also a member of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society. Rank developed his own theory of psychoanalysis, which differed from Freud's in several ways.
