Patrick M'Boma was a Cameroonian footballer who played for a number of European clubs, including Parma and Cagliari. He began his career with Cotonsport Garoua in Cameroon, before moving to Europe to play for Parma in 1997. He later played for Cagliari, Newcastle United, and Monaco. M'Boma was a prolific goalscorer and was named the African Footballer of the Year in 2000. He retired from professional football in 2009.
