Paul Éluard was a French poet who was a member of the surrealist movement. He collaborated with André Breton, the founder of the surrealist movement, on a number of projects, including the journal La Révolution surréaliste. Éluard and Breton were both interested in exploring the unconscious mind and the power of dreams.
