Pope Paul II was born in 1417. He was the 211th pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 1464 until his death in 1471. Born Pietro Barbo in Venice, he was a nephew of Pope Eugene IV and a cousin of Pope Sixtus IV. Paul II was known for his patronage of the arts and his efforts to reform the Church.
