Paul Revere was an American patriot who is best known for his midnight ride to warn the American colonists that the British were coming. Revere was a silversmith by trade, but he also served in the Massachusetts militia. On the night of April 18, 1775, Revere rode from Boston to Lexington and Concord to warn the colonists that the British were coming to seize their weapons.
