  • 866 to 876

  • 874 to 884

  • 877 to 886

  • 888 to 898

Answer

Photios was the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople twice. His first time was from 858 to 867. He was deposed and exiled by Emperor Michael III, who then appointed Ignatius as the patriarch. Photios was later reinstated as patriarch by Emperor Basil I in 877. He served until 886, when he was again deposed by Emperor Leo VI.
