Pulcheria (; 399 – 453) was a Byzantine Empress, and a member of Theodosian dynasty. She was regent for her brother Theodosius II from 414 until his death in 450, and the de facto ruler of the Eastern Roman Empire. Pulcheria was a devout Christian, and her rule saw a period of great cultural and religious revival in the empire.
