Answer
Khrennikov composed four piano concertos throughout his career. His first concerto, written in 1932, showcased his early Romantic style. The second, composed in 1946, reflected the influence of Russian folk music. The third, written in 1952, was more experimental and featured a complex structure. His final concerto, composed in 1970, returned to a more traditional style and was dedicated to the memory of his friend, the pianist Sviatoslav Richter.
