Ramesses III was the second Pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He reigned from 1186 to 1155 BC. He was the son of Seti II and Tuya. Ramesses III is best known for his victory over the Sea Peoples, a group of seafaring raiders who attacked Egypt in the late 12th century BC.
