Ramush Haradinaj was the former Prime Minister of Kosovo. He was tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The first trial ended in 2008 with a not guilty verdict. However, the prosecution appealed the verdict and a re-trial began in 2011.
