Raúl Iturriaga was a Chilean army officer who was one of the founders of the DINA, the secret police agency that carried out state terrorism during the military dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet. He served as the agency's deputy director from 1973 to 1976. Iturriaga was involved in the planning and execution of numerous human rights abuses, including the kidnapping and murder of political opponents.
