Answer
Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej, Emil Bodnăraș, and Constantin Pîrvulescu conspired to have Foriș removed from his position as general secretary of the Romanian Communist Party. They were all members of the Politburo, and Gheorghiu-Dej was the most powerful of the three. They accused Foriș of being a Titoist, and they forced him to resign from his position in 1948.
