Answer
Mariano Díaz has never represented the Mexican national team. Although born in Catalonia to a Spanish mother and Dominican father, he grew up in Spain and has represented the nation at various youth levels, making him ineligible to play for Mexico. Despite having Dominican heritage, he has not opted to play for the Dominican Republic either, choosing instead to focus on his Spanish nationality and football career.
