Georgios Papadopoulos was a Greek military officer and politician who was the Prime Minister of Greece from 1967 to 1973. He was the leader of the Greek military junta which seized power in 1967 and ruled Greece until 1974. Papadopoulos was denounced by Kostas Georgakis, a Greek politician and member of the Centre Union party, for his role in the coup d'état.
