Answer
Ammonius Saccas was a philosopher who founded the school of thought known as Neoplatonism. Although he is said to have been a prolific writer, none of his works survive. This is likely due to the fact that he was a teacher and did not publish his work. It is also possible that his writings were destroyed during the Christian persecution of pagans in the 4th century AD.
