Paris–Roubaix is the other monument that John Degenkolb won in 2015, in addition to Milan–San Remo. The German cyclist became the first rider since Sean Kelly in 1986 to win both monuments in the same year. Degenkolb's victory in Paris–Roubaix was particularly impressive, as he attacked solo with 55 kilometers to go and held off the chasing pack to win by a margin of 31 seconds.
