Pridi Banomyong died in France in 1969. He was a Thai politician and diplomat who was the first prime minister of Thailand after the revolution of 1932. He was also the founder of the Thai People's Party and the leader of the Free Thai movement during World War II. After the war, he served as prime minister again from 1945 to 1946.
