Oribe Peralta retired from the national team in 2018 after playing for Mexico for 15 years. He scored 48 goals in 115 appearances for Mexico, making him the third-highest scorer in the country's history. He was a key player in Mexico's 2010 World Cup campaign, where he scored a goal in the group stage match against Uruguay. Peralta also won two CONCACAF Gold Cups with Mexico, in 2011 and 2015.
