He is an Indian politician who served as the 26th Minister of Finance of India from 2004 to 2008, Minister of Home Affairs from 2008 to 2009, and Minister of Commerce and Industry from 2012 to 2014. He has also served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha from 2014 to 2019.
