Margaret of Parma was a regent for the Netherlands in the 16th century. She was the daughter of Emperor Charles V and Isabella of Portugal. Margaret was appointed regent by her half-brother, King Philip II of Spain, in 1559. She ruled the Netherlands until 1567, when she was forced to flee to Spain by the Dutch Revolt.
