Matilda of Scotland's father was King Malcolm III, also known as Malcolm Canmore. He was the King of Scotland from 1058 until his death in 1093. Matilda was one of Malcolm's eight children. Her mother was Margaret of Wessex, who was a descendant of the Anglo-Saxon royal family. Matilda married Henry I of England in 1100, and they had two children together.
