Since July 2023, Željko Komšić has held the position of chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the representative of the Croat people in the collective presidency, which consists of three members representing the Bosniaks, Croats, and Serbs, and rotates every eight months. Komšić is a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH), the largest Croat political party in the country.
