Thomas Lawrence was born in Bristol, England in 1769. He was the son of a painter and began drawing at a young age. He studied art in London and Rome, and became one of the most famous portrait painters of his time. He painted many famous people, including George III, Napoleon Bonaparte, and William Wordsworth. Lawrence died in 1830.
