Tina Maze began her professional skiing career in 1999 at the age of 15. She competed in the Alpine skiing World Cup, and made her World Cup debut in December of 1999. Maze won her first World Cup race in January of 2002, and went on to win a total of 26 World Cup races throughout her career. She also won two Olympic gold medals and one Olympic silver medal.
