Tran Ngoc Chau was a Vietnamese politician who served as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. He was born in 1907 in Hanoi and studied law at the University of Hanoi. After graduating, he worked as a lawyer and then as a government official. In 1955, he was appointed as the Minister of Finance and then as the Minister of National Defense.
