Charles of Durazzo was a French prince who, with the help of his cousin King Louis XI of France, invaded and conquered the Kingdom of Naples in 1426. The Kingdom of Naples had been ruled by the House of Anjou since 1266, but it had been weakened by a series of civil wars and foreign invasions.
