Wilfred Owen was born in England on 18 October 1893. He was a poet and soldier who fought in the First World War. He is best known for his poems about the horrors of war, such as "Dulce et Decorum Est" and "Anthem for Doomed Youth". Owen was killed in action on 4 November 1918, just a few weeks before the end of the war.
