Walter Schellenberg was born on 16 January 1910. He was a German Nazi intelligence officer who served as the head of Amt VI (Foreign Intelligence) of the Reich Security Main Office from 1942 to 1945. He was involved in the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, and was captured by British forces at the end of the war. He was tried and convicted of war crimes, and died in prison in 1952.
