Walter Schellenberg was born on 12 January 1910 in Saarbrücken, German Empire. His full name was Walter Friedrich Schellenberg. He was a German SS-Obergruppenführer and General der Polizei, and the head of the foreign intelligence service of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA) from 1941 to 1945. He was a close associate of Heinrich Himmler and was involved in many of the major events of World War II.
