Władysław Anders was a prominent member of the Polish Government-in-Exile after World War II. He was a general in the Polish Army and had fought in the war against Nazi Germany. After the war, he was the commander of the Polish II Corps, which was made up of Polish soldiers who had fought in the war on the side of the Allies.
