Anthony Blunt was an art historian and a member of the Cambridge Five spy ring during World War II. He was a professor of history at the Courtauld Institute of Art from 1947 to 1974 and was knighted in 1972. Blunt's spying activities were revealed in 1979, and he was stripped of his knighthood and expelled from the Order of the Bath. He died in 1983.
