In what field did Brian Schmidt share a Nobel Prize?
Brian Schmidt won a Nobel Prize in Physics in 2011, for his work on the discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe. Schmidt was born in Missoula, Montana, in 1967. He studied physics at the University of California, Berkeley, and then earned a Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of Arizona in 1993.
