Constance Markievicz was an Irish revolutionary, suffragette, and politician. She was a founding member of the Irish Citizen Army, a member of the Sinn Féin party, and served as Minister for Labour in the first Dáil Éireann. She was also known by the title Countess, which she inherited from her husband, Count Casimir Markievicz.
