Answer
Horia Sima succeeded Corneliu Zelea Codreanu as leader of the Iron Guard, a Romanian fascist movement, after Codreanu's assassination in 1938. Sima was a more radical leader than Codreanu and led the Iron Guard to become more involved in violence and terror. He was eventually overthrown by Ion Antonescu, who became the leader of Romania during World War II.
