Emmerson Mnangagwa studied law at the University of Zambia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in 1965. Mnangagwa then went on to work as a lawyer in Zimbabwe before entering politics. He served as a minister in the government of Robert Mugabe from 1980 to 2017. In 2017, Mnangagwa became the president of Zimbabwe after Mugabe was ousted in a coup d'etat.
