Infante Jaime, Duke of Madrid, died on 2nd October 1931. The Carlist claimant to the Spanish throne from 1909 until his death, he was exiled in France after the establishment of the Second Spanish Republic in 1931. He spent his final years in Paris and is interred in the Royal Crypt of the Escorial.
