Louis Antoine, Duke of Angoulême, was forced to abdicate in 1830. He was the eldest son of King Charles X of France, and he had been named as the heir to the throne. However, in July of 1830, a revolution broke out in France. The revolutionaries demanded that Charles X abdicate, and he eventually agreed.
