Mary II was the daughter of Charles II and his second wife, Catherine of Braganza. She was born in 1662 and became queen of England, Scotland, and Ireland in 1689. Her reign was marked by conflict with the Catholic Jacobites, who supported her brother, James II, for the throne. Mary II died in 1694 at the age of thirty-two.
